About {Me, Myself, and I}
My name is Karen.
That is my family.
This is my blog, where I write about anything and everything.
I have been married to my husband, Clay, for over 8 years. We met at Clemson University when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore and have been together ever since.
Clay is in the Army. I think he is absolutely perfect for me, which is why I married him. That and my parents paid him $4000 to take me off their hands. To read more about our military adventures, click here.
We currently live in Virginia (but have called a variety of places in the United States home) with our three-year-old son, Weston, who just finished composing his third symphony. He also likes to stick things up his nose. I am also currently pregnant with a little girl who is scheduled to make her appearance this summer. Our chocolate lab, Lucy, and fat cat, Desi, also demand our time and money.
- I am enamored with Tom Selleck due to a childhood fantasy that involved his role as Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Little Lady.
- I am left-handed.
- I hate driving over large bridges. Driving on the Thousand Islands Bridge during a violent thunderstorm has scarred me for life.
- The 80s classic song Take Me Home Tonight by Eddie Money played a pivotal role in the budding relationship with my husband.
- I am the oldest of four children and fit almost every single oldest-child stereotpye.
- I hate the sound of nail clippers.
- Orange is my favorite color.
- I grew up in both Phoenix, Arizona and southeastern Pennsylvania.
- Jalapeño potato chips are my favorite.
- I am not near as confident as I pretend to be.
Thank you for reading!

I’m a die-hard Selleck fan too. Love Blue Bloods.
I’m also left-handed. Great post on correcting the article by Mr. Woods on the military. My husband is retired Air Force, so I relate. I applaud and your husband for your sacrifices. Thank you for serving!

my son also has a fear of driving over large bridges – like the one in Charleston – before it was re-built. And his favorite color is orange! Great minds think alike I guess

I LOATHE the sounds of nail clippers too. Absolutely HATE it. I cringe, cry, and run from rooms shaking sometimes lol Can’t wait to read more! ~ Chelle @ Oh Just Stop Already
