9 months and counting. Almost full-term. Hard to believe. We found out about our little one just before Valentine’s Day and in a few short weeks we welcome him into the world. I keep reminding myself to enjoy these last days and not become too anxious but darn it, I am ready not to be pregnant anymore and we just really want to meet Weston. Our conversations are centered around whose eyes, nose, and hair he will have and whether or not he will like sports like his parents (gosh, I hope so).
A couple of weeks ago, we had a photographer come to the house to help us chronicle the pregnancy. Not a fan of traditional maternity shots (no bare belly with a rose thankyouverymuch), we opted for a relaxed family atmosphere. Our photographer, Crystal, and I ‘met’ back in 2006 as we stumbled across each others blogs…hers about her husband in Iraq and mine about Clay in Afghanistan. We were on opposite sides of the US and would check-in occasionally to see how the deployments were going. Fast forward 3 years and we’re now living in the same state and our husband were even in the same Guard unit for a little while until Clay went active. Small world isn’t it?
Here are a couple of my favorites from the shoot.
Crystal captured our spirt and even made sure to include Lucy in a couple of shots. If you’re ever in the Raleigh area and need a photographer, please check out Crystal Butler Photography. We’re sure glad we did.
