We’re back in Atlanta, where we are going to finish up the rest of our Christmas/New Year vacation extravaganza. From here, we will return to the Raleigh area for a little bit and then continue our days of vacationing and leaving our mark on the East Coast before we leave.
So the (not so bad, we actually kinda, sorta, like it) Ft. Sill area…as you can see from the above picture, it isn’t so bad, and even has it’s own sense of beauty. After looking at the condition of most rental properties, combined with the incredible real estate prices Oklahoma has to offer, we shifted our priorities from finding a rental home to purchasing a house. We’re going to wait until our house sells before purchasing a new one, which means that Clay will more than likely move out yonder ahead of us and we will join him once we have the keys to our yet to be purchased new home. We decided that the time spent apart was better than the anxiety of carrying two mortgages until our North Carolina house sells. While not ideal, it is a hell of a lot better than being in debt up to our eye balls, right?
We did enjoy looking at the gorgeous houses (and fantastic prices!) Oklahoma has to offer. When walking around house properties and such, I quickly learned that cute flats are not the most appropriate footwear in rural Oklahoma.
And I must say, I do love the drinks the area as to offer. Such as Dos Equis with a lime and salt rim. Super duper lip-smackin’ yummy.
While we were away, our little boy was well taken care of by my parents. His Aunt Julie had a lot of fun styling his hair. I love it, don’t you?
Next up: The Texas Highway Patrol, hotel fire alarms, and casinos!
